Some of the team members at Vietcetera are involved in technology and business, so naturally we’re always keeping our eyes and ears open about the next technology conference.
Usually we travel to places like Singapore or Hong Kong to get our fix, but luckily the next big show is being held in our very own backyard: The Independence Palace in Ho Chi Minh City.
Echelon 2016 is being held from November 18th-19th in Ho Chi Minh City, one of the first regional conferences to make its way to Vietnam.
We put together a list of reasons why you should consider going too.
Echelon 2016 is focused on one country: Vietnam
Unlike other business and technology conferences which feature startups from around the region, this event will be focused exclusively on Vietnam, while featuring investors and attendees from around the region.
It’s a rare opportunity to attend a focused event, while not having the bells and whistles of a million other startups around Southeast Asia.
There will be strong opinions and insights from locals and overseas Vietnamese
It’ll be an unusually local and global audience. From having mostly local and overseas Vietnamese to featuring some regional and international attendees.
Since there’s a focus on Vietnam, the voice and opinions you’ll hear from locals and overseas Vietnamese will be stronger than any other business and technology conference you’ll hear about.
That means the chances to meet others that are interested in Vietnamese topics and businesses are much higher. You won’t have a better opportunity to find your next Vietnam-based hire or business partner than Echelon.
The venue is one-of-a-kind
Unlike other conference centers that are out the outskirts of the city or near the airport, The Independence Palace is the flagship building of Ho Chi Minh City.
It’s only a few minutes taxi away from the main sites and hotels of the city. If you’re from the city, it won’t be inconvenient at all to attend.
Echelon 2016 is not your traditional startup conference
Because the staging of the conference is done by Quintessentially, a lifestyle events company, there will be speakers from their network that represent a diverse range of industries. Their experiences will add insights about how technology and overseas interest is becoming important to their businesses in Vietnam.
And since there’s a focus on Vietnam, speakers will be discussing all about an overarching theme: Vietnam. More focus, more insights.
Some notable speakers include:
- Dr. Lee George Lam, Macquarie Capital (Hong Kong) Ltd.
- Huy Nguyen Trieu, The Disruptive Group
- Xiaojun Li, IDG Capital Partners
- Dr. Le Hoang Lan, Indochina Investment Group Singapore
- Hian Goh, NSI Ventures
- Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen, MC, actress, entrepreneur
- Kathy Uyen, actress, producer, entrepreneur
