Pizza 4P';s - Review

While most travelers go for Vietnamese food, it would be a shame to miss out on the local, organic, and humble roots of the Pizza 4P’s story and experience.

Pizza 4P';s - Review

Yosuke and Sunny Masuko, a young dynamic couple from Japan, opened Pizza 4P’s original location on Le Thanh Ton in Ho Chi Minh City five years ago, out of their love for pizza and their dream to pursue their life’s work in a creative field.

Pizza 4P’s, a Japanese-owned pizza group based in Vietnam

Starting with just a simple pizza oven, the brand has taken off and established itself as an iconic food symbol in Vietnam. While most travelers visit Vietnam for the Vietnamese food, it would be a shame to miss out on the local, organic, and humble roots of the Pizza 4P’s story and experience.

Why We Like It

They grow their cheese locally in Da Lat on their own farms. That’s quality control for you, if there ever was QC in Vietnam. The Pizza 4P’s food experience philosophy to pizza is similar to farm-to-table restaurants that are popping up everywhere in the United States.

While I find myself spending anywhere from $15-$25 each visit to Pizza 4P’s, which is much higher than the average meal in Vietnam, each experience is different and always delivers the value that I expect, if not more. The menu options are endless and creative. If you don’t fancy pizza, their pastas are worth dropping by for as well. Now that they also serve craft beer, the Pizza 4P’s menu oozes with innovative taste in both food and drink.

The open and transparent atmosphere of their dining rooms and food preparation areas, also makes the experience feel more social and relatable. I’m always proud to show my out-of-town friends the Pizza 4P’s experience.

Tips for a Better Experience

Always make reservations. Pizza 4P’s is notoriously overcrowded during dinner times and you’ll be left waiting for a table if you don’t make a reservation. According to the New York Times, the Pizza 4P’s Le Thanh Ton location serves around 350 diners every evening, turning away another 50. If you’re a large group, you can request a private room at the Le Thanh Ton location.
