Over the last few years, the Danish high-end interior brand has significantly increased its international presence. The upcoming opening of a new five-storey showroom and flagship store in Ho Chi Minh City is yet another step on an exciting growth journey in the Asia-Pacific region.
Starting as a small family workshop specialising in upholstery in Aarhus, Denmark, the foundation stones of Wendelbo were laid in 1955. Six decades and three generations later, the story of the Danish family with a strong dedication to design continues to unfold and prosper.
At the heart of the Wendelbo universe is the collection of upholstered furniture, bridging Scandinavian craftsmanship and a sophisticated, international design signature, while being produced to the highest levels of quality for residential and contract projects alike.
Since 2008, all designs have been manufactured at Wendelbo’s production facilities in Vietnam, run by Christian da Silva Wendelbo, the third generation of the Wendelbo family. What started as a minor team, today counts more than 700 employees, and the Wendelbo brand is retailed globally in 60 countries through more than 200 high-end partners. With the Asia-Pacific region being among the brand’s fastest- growing markets, the opening of the new showroom and flagship store is a natural advancement for the company.
Speaking about the significance of the showroom opening, Christian da Silva Wendelbo says, “Though we have been an active player on the Vietnamese contract market for more than a decade, we haven’t until now had a showroom near Ho Chi Minh City. Located in District 2, the new Wendelbo Showroom & Flagship Store will host an opening reception on September 10, 2022.
