One Mount is partnering up with Google Cloud as its preferred enterprise cloud service provider to develop a strategy in advancing its mission to create Vietnam’s largest technology ecosystem connecting people and businesses.

One of the most strategic assets a business must have is ‘data’ — items purchased, customer sales, transactions, product reviews, and so on. Data provides the enterprise with information to learn from — an extremely important factor for entities like One Mount.

That’s why recently, companies like One Mount, a strategic partner of Techcombank, have invested and focused on how to store and manage such data. However, businesses don’t just tap cloud service providers to store their data but also generate intelligent insights on the go.

In a statement from Lu Luc, Chief Data Officer of One Mount, “Google Cloud is a critical technology partner in One Mount’s speed to market and effort to continuously deliver differentiated services to our customers in Vietnam.”

Adding that having cloud-trained talents will boost this new partnership with Google Cloud, “Going into 2021, we’re also actively recruiting Google Cloud Platform-trained talent to help us improve our AI-driven hyper-personalization efforts for customers across our retail and housing businesses.”

In its expansion strategy and drive for continuous innovation across its lines of business, this strategic partnership will see One Mount leveraging a broad range of Google technologies, including SAP on Google Cloud and Google Workspace.

Starting with VinShop, a dedicated retail app enabling independent shop owners to grow their business via tech-enabled supply chain and inventory management.

VinID, a super app and Vietnam's largest consumer loyalty program integrating many functions such as payment, housing management, goods purchase, and financial services; and OneHousing, a one-stop destination for all needs in housing, supporting buying, selling, investing, and other real-estate-related services.

By leveraging a secure, open-source, and container-based approach on Google Kubernetes Engine, One Mount will be able to launch and scale new services quickly. The organization will also use Google Cloud’s advanced smart data analytics and AI/ML tools such as BigQuery to integrate and analyze sources of data across each subsidiary to generate actionable customer intelligence faster.

True to its mission of building Vietnam’s most trusted technological ecosystem, empowering people, and helping businesses realize their full potential, One Mount hopes this additional capability will enable it to rapidly prototype solutions to complex business problems and deliver innovative new products and services, as well as deliver insights to advertisers.

Sharing the same interest in improving the tech ecosystem, Ruma Balasubramanian, Google Cloud’s Managing Director in Southeast Asia expressed, “We’re excited to partner with One Mount Group to help them harness the power of Google Cloud’s infrastructure and AI capabilities to innovate at speed and scale.”

Cloud computing today allows hardware and software products to co-exist remotely (in data centers) and at-scale. Since they moved to Google Cloud, One Mount has seen greater reliability and availability now. They are also able to manage peaks in web traffic during special occasions like new year and ticketing which is much easier with the cloud.
