Capella Hanoi Named One Of The World's Best New Hotels
Showcasing some of the rising stars in the hotel industry, Travel + Leisure has compiled a list of the 100 best new hotels to check out. These are all the hotels that have survived the tough challenges brought by the pandemic and are now shining brightly thanks to their resilience.
Capella Hanoi is Vietnam and Southeast Asia’s sole representative on this year’s “best new hotels” list. The five-star property opened its doors in 2021, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, and has continuously reaped recognition in and out of Vietnam. It was named one of the Best New Hotels in Asia-Pacific on DestinAsian Luxe List last year.
Located on Le Phung Hieu Street, near the Hanoi Opera House, Capella Hanoi attracts visitors with its glorious and luxurious look. The building is originally an opera house then got renovated by architect Bill Bensley to be a Petite Auberge during opera’s halcyon days. Visitors can easily visit Hoan Kiem Lake, Old Quarter from the property.
Paying tribute to legendary performances, actors, and designers, all 47 suites of Capella Hanoi are individually-styled with historical opera ornaments and portraiture art by Kate Spencer. The top floor is anchored by 4 Opera Suites, each fitted with a spacious alfresco terrace boasting a breathtaking view of luscious greenery.
A review by Phan Mai Trang from Travel + Leisure reads, “If there's a Vietnamese phrase to describe Capella Hanoi, it's "tinh tế/ tinh lọc." A "tinh tế" person is someone who knows how and what to pay attention to. A "tinh tế" state of mind is a process of careful selection. Both nuances of "tinh tế" are present in Capella Hanoi.”
The cheapest room in this five-star hotel starts at around 6.000.000 VND. Capella Hanoi features a restaurant, fitness center, bar, and shared lounge. An indoor swimming pool and a car rental service are available for guests. There is also a sauna and terrace at this top-notch hotel.
Besides Capella Hanoi, five other hotels in Asia were included in the list: Joeli Being and the Ritz-Carlton Maldives in the Maldives, the Ritz-Carlton and Roku Kyoto Hotels in Japan, and Six Sense Fort Barwara in India.
