Business Content Editor

The Business Content Editor will oversee the creation, editing, and direction of all business-related content for Vietnam Innovators Digest. This includes newsletters, articles, features, and video content such as scripts and storyboarding. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business journalism, excellent writing and editing skills, and a passion for delivering insightful, engaging, and actionable content. The ideal candidate has a desire to build a network or already has one within one or many of these areas, including but not limited to: startups, technology, general business, executive leadership, and chambers of commerce.

Editorial and Text Content

1. Content Development: Write, edit, and manage newsletters, long-form articles, and other editorial content with a focus on business, startups, leadership, and innovation.
2. Editorial Calendar: Plan and maintain the content calendar to ensure timely publication.
3. SEO Optimization: Ensure all text content is optimized for search engines and reader engagement.
4. Fact-Checking and Accuracy: Review content for factual accuracy, coherence, and adherence to brand voice.

Video Content Direction

1. Scriptwriting: Create scripts for video content, including interviews, panel discussions, and explainer videos.
2. Content Direction: Collaborate with video production teams to ensure high-quality visual storytelling aligned with editorial goals.
3. Research and Ideation: Research and brainstorm compelling video topics and narratives related to Vietnam’s business ecosystem.

Cross-Team Collaboration

1. Work closely with the marketing, video production, and social media teams to repurpose and amplify content across channels.
2. Collaborate with external contributors, freelance writers, and subject matter experts.

Experience: A minimum of 3–5 years in business journalism, content creation, or a related field, however more is welcome. 

Skills:

• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.
• Proficiency in creating business-focused content for both print and digital platforms.
• Experience in video scriptwriting and storytelling.
• Familiarity with SEO, analytics, and content management systems.

Language: Native or fluent in Vietnamese (written and spoken); fluent English language skills are a must.

Mindset: Creative, deadline-driven, detail-oriented, and able to translate complex business concepts into digestible content.
