BiaCraft Artisan Ales - Restaurant Review
It’s quintessentially American with a hip, trendy vibe serving up great food and drink.
When we interviewed BiaCraft co-owner Albin Desforges, we learned about his team’s mission to reenergize American food in Vietnam. They are offering a new spin on American style food that Vietnam was used to. Gone is the era of McDonald’s and Starbucks as the only American style choices in Vietnam. With that sort of mission statement, we had to go try out his restaurants for ourselves.
BiaCraft Artisan Ales, American soul food, craftbeer and microbrew destination in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
With two locations in Ho Chi Minh City, BiaCraft offers a much needed social and casual destination in two very different parts of the city. You’ll find a generous selection of bites and full meals, complemented by a seemingly endless selection of beers. Their dessert is reminiscent of fun late-night American diners that you’ll find in places like Los Angeles and New York.Credit: www.halongcruisetours.vn
Why We Like It
It’s quintessentially American with a hip, trendy vibe serving up great food and drink. The value of the food and drink is fair, given that you’ll be hard pressed to find anything as innovative and fun in the city, while not sacrificing quality. I’ve never left BiaCraft with an empty stomach.
The space in District 3 is one single ground floor space with an outdoor section. It’s also on the corner of one of the main drags in District 3. The ambience of the open air, streetside environment makes it feel quintessentially Vietnamese at the same time.Credit: www.balodeplao.com
Tips for a Great Experience
The location in District 3 offers generous indoor and outdoor seating, whatever suits your tastes. Its location caters to locals, though you’ll find a decent number of expats here too. I’ve generally never had any trouble finding a table or seating here given how large the District 3 location is. There’s also a generous amount of standing room and tables. Come here with an empty stomach. Chances are you’ll be fully satisfied at the end of the meal.
