With the massive layoffs dominating the headlines now, receiving a regular paycheck is how most people define stability. Who wouldn’t? After all, that’s why we work — to gain access to compensation, benefits, and security.
However, an employer’s responsibility doesn’t start and end with money. So, when looking for a job, find companies with happy employees who enjoy good benefits and have a positive work culture.
Here’s a reminder, before accepting a job offer, you might want to ask these questions: Is the company stable with a good reputation? What is the company culture like? How is success in this role measured? Does the position offer room for advancement?
As of September 2022, Vietnam’s employment population is at 50.7 million, with 2.28% of the 98 million unemployed. The question is, out of the 50 million people with jobs, how many are truly happy and are working for a non-toxic employer?
While it’s almost impossible to quantify who is happily employed and who isn’t, a Vietnamese social networking service firm providing employer brand and happy workforce solutions, Anphabe Company, surveyed workers nationwide for their desired workplaces based on multiple criteria.
Thanh Nguyen, CEO of Anphabe, said the survey provides a comprehensive overview of contemporary employee expectations and, at the same time, helps businesses to fine-tune incentives to attract staff.
Between April and September this year, 57,939 employees and 515 company representatives across Vietnam were asked which companies and brands are the best places to work in 2022. Anphabe also conducted in-depth interviews with 150 senior executives and human resources managers in 20 industries.
The survey found that 56% of employees received salary raises in September this year, compared to 35% in the same period last year. Additionally, nearly 70% of respondents were given the bonuses they expected or more; on average, it was 1.4 times their monthly salary.
Anphabe’s data also revealed that 42% of workers are tired and under stress and are usually related to finance, family, the nature of work, work environment, and work relationships are the leading causes. The career firm suggested that businesses seriously reconsider their future policies to address the stress issues among their staff.
Based on the following criteria: salary, bonuses, welfare, professional development, culture and values, leadership, work-life balance, and company reputation; here are the top 5 best places to work in 2022, along with a few honorable mentions.
