Levitate, a Singapore-headquartered housing development platform, made its debut in Vietnam last week. Prior to the official launch, the firm established two operational design hubs in the country’s two major cities — Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh.
Founded by Marco Van Aggele, the former founder of Fusion resorts chains, along with Fabian Wandt and Marc Townsend, Levitate's online-2-offline platform allows buyers “to virtually fine-tune their dream home to the very last detail.”
“With the help of a powerful AI platform, Levitate presents its groundbreaking pre-modeling concept to deliver a fully personalized home to fit the buyers' budget, requirements, and style,” the founders told the media during the event. “Buyers get matched and can then design and finance their new dream home at a lower cost than they would do themselves.”
When asked why they decided to make Vietnam their first market, Fabian said they were impressed by the country’s resilience during the pandemic and the fact that Vietnam’s property market remains strong despite the restrictions and risks in the economy. Fabian, who was the former COO of Lazada, has been living in Vietnam for 11 years.
Moreover, Marc commented that Levitate could ensure a smoothly orchestrated sales journey regardless of the gap between the virtual and real world through their centrally located Design Hubs. Just like Fabian, Marc is an expat living in Vietnam and the former CEO of real estate services company CBRE Vietnam.
Dubbed the “Amazon of Housing,” Levitate's online and physical sales portals replace the traditional role of the real estate broker.
“For those people interested in designing their own homes, they are welcome to come directly to the Design Hub and receive special gifts, benefits, and discounts,” Fabian and Marc said.
