Proptech Vietnam Network hosted its 4th meeting “Vietnam Real Estate after the pandemic” on June 26, 2020 with an enthusiastic support from our community partners. Kicking off the evening, Mr. Lance Ma, a member of the Board of Management for Proptech Vietnam Network, gave a warm welcome to the stakeholders and shared the mission of the organisation to bring together the real estate industry and technology sector in a cohesive environment to promote growth and development of the community.

Proptech Vietnam Network is proud to bring you insights with key leaders such as Ms. Vy Vu, Managing Director of Sonkim Land, Mr. Alex Crane, Managing Director of Cushman Wakefield, and Mr. Phillip An, Cofounder of Homebase. Moderated by Ms. Ruby Nguyen of One Mount Group and a member of the Board of Management, these industry experts and entrepreneurs discussed about the environment of Vietnam’s real estate sector as it pertains to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic as well as future trends.

Mr. Alex Crane noted that corporate players especially in the office and industrial manufacturing space coming back into the Vietnam market with a lag in the hospitality sector however it shows improvements with lots of confidence in how Vietnam has managed the pandemic. From the residential investment perspective, Ms. Vy Vu stated that interest from foreign buyers remains high in the long run granted the local developers need to be keen on the expectations and quality of the projects with prime locations being a focal point. Granted the long term macroeconomic trends in Vietnam continues to be positive, Mr. Phillip An sees the demand for real estate financing as a key driver for a new generation of home ownership and investment exposure to the property market in Vietnam continues to remain a critical part for any regional investor.

Overall the evening concluded with great insights from all panelists and a small networking opportunity from all stakeholders who attended. Proptech Vietnam Network is honoured to host this event and shared valuable opportunities for the future of Vietnam’s real estate sector.
