The past week at Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers has kicked off the most exciting season of the year with the hotel’s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony that took place on Friday, November 29th, 2019. This festive event was held in cooperation with Renaissance Riverside Hotel Saigon and Le Méridien Saigon.
With the iconic lobby gracefully transformed into a mesmerizing “Winter Wonderland,” the annual lighting ceremony allows Sheraton Saigon to pay gratitude to its guests, business partners, and media friends who have supported and spent many days and nights at the hotel over the years. However, what makes the event truly worthwhile is the participation of less fortunate children whom the hotel has invited among its guests.
From glittering lights, pink and silver seasonal decorations, to an entire magnificent Christmas tree and a life-sized gingerbread house all prepared by the hotel team, the event offered a rare fantastical experience to the children and managed to bring everyone into the festive mode altogether. The accompanying Christmas Choir that composed of Sheraton Saigon’s talented associates also performed as the team lit up the Christmas tree.
This year, the three hotels welcomed 80 kids and 10 teachers of Tam Binh Orphanage Center to enjoy the Christmas festivities together, along with the valued guests, hotel management and associates. The glistening atmosphere, accented by warm holiday songs and cozy familial spirit surely has given the children a moment to remember.
There was even a range of fun bonding activities and games, and a fabulous dinner buffet with lip-smacking diversity of dishes especially prepared and served to the kids by associates from Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers, Renaissance Riverside Hotel Saigon, and Le Méridien Saigon.
Beyond this beautiful yet singular event, the hotels are calling for gifts donations to “Wish Upon A Star,” a charity program that the team has designed and invited the children from Tam Binh Orphanage Center to write their desired gift on these stars that will be spread across the three properties as well as hung on the Hotel Christmas Trees.
Starting from now until December 16th, the meaningful gifts donated by hotel guests and associates will be collected at each hotel and delivered to Binh Chanh Development Support Center for Integrated Education and Center for Disabled Children Education District 4 on December 19th and December 20th, 2019.
The Christmas Tree Lighting and Christmas Charity events are the hotel’s annual activities to show gratitude and care back to the local community where the hotels operate. Following the strong belief that life is better when shared, the hotels hope to bring the most memorable and meaningful festive experience to these children as well.
