Web3 is heralding a new era for the Internet, bringing revolutionary ideas that are reshaping our digital landscape. Summer Pitch 2024, a side event of Good Morning Vietnam 2024, highlighted this evolution with an evening full of entrepreneurial spirit and impactful connections.
What's In Summer Pitch 2024?
The event, hosted by W3X—an investor and incubator for Web3 and blockchain startups in Vietnam and the APAC region—was held at CTY Kitchen & Bar in Ho Chi Minh City on June 7th. W3X manages a $10 million venture capital fund, investing in promising startups across the region.
This year, the event drew over 60 venture capitalists, investors, and projects from around the globe. Attendees enjoyed food and wine while anticipating the pitches from eight innovative projects.
The night began with each project having 7 minutes to pitch their ideas. They showcased how simple concepts could develop into innovative solutions, reflecting the determination of entrepreneurs to turn dreams into reality. Erik Duong, founder of W3X, opened the event, setting a tone of excitement and possibility.
Following the pitches, the networking session allowed projects to engage with investors in a relaxed and open atmosphere, facilitating meaningful discussions and connections.
Pitching Projects
The event featured a diverse range of ideas in Game-Fi, De-Fi, and Social-Fi:
- GLEN Studio: An NFT gaming platform from Korea where NFT items and characters can be used across different games;
- Goat Tech: A multichain reputation infrastructure maximizing yields and enhancing on-chain trust scores;
- Octan Network: A Web3 data intelligence platform offering a reputation ranking system for valuable social insights;
- Eladrea: A FantasyVerse from Denmark combining classic RPG and 4X Strategy with Web 3.0 and Blockchain, built on Unreal Engine 5. (Presented online);
- DigiTrust: A decentralized asset management platform integrating social network features for a unique user experience;
- U2U: A DAG-based and EVM-compatible chain leveraging Subnet technology for infinite scalability, ideal for DePIN.
