On the heels of the successful and first edition of the Overseas Vietnamese Summit: Homecoming event hosted in January 2024, we’ve heard from our audience to bring Vietnam a bit closer to the largest communities of overseas Vietnamese living outside of Vietnam today, as well as to the business communities actively engaged in bridging the two countries closer.
Japan’s connection with Vietcetera goes a few years back, as one of the more recent recipients of Japanese-led venture capital funding. Led by firms Genesia Ventures and Z Venture Capital, a joint venture between LINE and Yahoo Japan, Vietcetera has grown through the years with the support of Japanese-inspired long-term business building principles.
In addition to the investment side, Vietcetera has created growing content collaborations and partnerships with Japanese-led or Japanese-based businesses active in Vietnam such as Tokyu Corporation, Reazon, Dentsu, Capichi, Hakuhodo, Pizza 4P’s, Kamereo, and more.
The event promises engaging discussions, with a highlight being a fireside chat with Satoshi Kuriga of Reazon Capital, providing insights into his experiences and the company’s vision for investing in Vietnam. Next, we’ll profile the growth journey of Kamereo, a B2B food and beverage distribution platform, led by investment banker-turned entrepreneur CEO Taku Tanaka, who was previously the COO of Pizza 4P’s. Wait until you hear about how he got his job with 4P’s.
Another notable session will feature Vietcetera's own Hao Tran in a live Vietnam Innovators podcast-style conversation with Marco Breu, the former managing partner of McKinsey Vietnam and now board member of Vietcetera, which was founded more than 15 years ago in Hanoi. Additionally, Dung Hoang of Genesia Ventures will represent case studies of the growing relationship between the two nations, with a particular focus on M&A opportunities as well as personal stories about her learnings from living in Japan and now working in Vietnam.
Attendees will also get a sneak peek at Vietcetera's upcoming Roadshow live event series, which will bring the company’s popular podcasts and community events to a global stage, starting in Tokyo later in 2024.
Interest is high and spaces are limited for this not-to-be-missed event. Secure your spot by signing up now. Confirmation emails will be sent to the selected participants. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of a growing community driving forward Vietnam-Japan cultural and business opportunities.
