With an estimated 34% of the average monthly paycheck going to food and beverage spending, Vietnam surely is a foodie nation. The country’s high proportion of young customers under 30 years old also adds to this fast-accelerating trajectory. Everyday consumers can feel this rapid economic change as more up and coming restaurants and bars have opened. Thus, to celebrate Vietnam’s emerging food and beverage industry, Vietcetera’s Vietnam Restaurant & Bar Awards (also known as the #banhmiawards) will once again recognize a curated list of Vietnam’s best restaurants, bars, brands, and more across 10 different categories. To date, this is the only industry awards platform in Vietnam, with this second edition being hosted in Q2 2020 in Ho Chi Minh City. For readers of Vietcetera, we will have online content sharing opportunities to engage and vote on these rising stars and key players.
Not only focused on celebrating the diverse star-players of the industry, this year’s occasion will also be extended beyond the evening awards party to a half-day conference discussing and sharing trends and best practices in Vietnam’s existing food and beverage climate as well. The first edition of the Vietnam Food & Beverage Conference 2020, which the team at Vietcetera is proud to partner with restaurant tech startup KAMEREO. Tickets can be purchased online. Attendees can expect panel discussions, fireside chats, and immersive brand experiences that will explore topics like emerging food technology, investment, and sustainability.
