Grab Backs EBOOST To Expand Nationwide EV Charging Network
EBOOST has secured a strategic investment from Grab to accelerate the expansion of its electric vehicle (EV) charging network across Vietnam, marking a significant milestone for both the company and the country's EV infrastructure. With more than 2,500 charging points already in operation, EBOOST plans to leverage Grab's investment and ecosystem to scale its nationwide network while supporting the broader adoption of electric mobility.
The partnership builds on the existing integration of EBOOST's charging network into the Grab Driver app, allowing driver-partners to locate charging stations, start charging sessions, and complete payments within a single platform. The next phase will extend these services to electric motorbike driver-partners by connecting thousands of additional charging points. By combining EBOOST's charging infrastructure and proprietary technology with Grab's extensive driver network, the collaboration is expected to improve charger utilisation, generate more recurring demand, and expand access to EV charging more efficiently as Vietnam's electric mobility ecosystem continues to grow.

Japanese Firms Deepen Partnerships With Vietnamese Startups
Vietnam's startup ecosystem is attracting growing interest from Japanese venture capital firms and corporations, supported by the country's young digital population, strong engineering talent, and strategic position as a gateway to the ASEAN market. Beyond providing capital, Japanese investors are increasingly seeking strategic partnerships, particularly in high-growth sectors such as fintech, AI, logistics, healthcare, and education.

Vietnam's IPO Market Reaches Nearly US$7 Billion In Market Capitalisation In H1 2026
Vietnam's IPO market staged a strong recovery in the first half of 2026, with four new listings raising more than US$830 million and reaching a combined market capitalisation of US$6.93 billion. The rebound was supported by regulatory reforms and a stronger pipeline of large-scale offerings, including the upcoming blockbuster IPO of Dien May Xanh, signalling renewed confidence in Vietnam's capital markets and improving conditions for companies pursuing long-term growth.
The market's momentum is expected to strengthen further following Vietnam's upgrade from FTSE Frontier Market to FTSE Secondary Emerging Market status, a move that could attract greater foreign investor participation, improve market liquidity, and raise the country's visibility among global investors. As the market increasingly favours larger and more mature businesses, continued regulatory improvements and broader international participation could also create a more viable exit environment for high-growth companies, supporting healthier capital formation and reinforcing Vietnam's position within the regional investment landscape.
