This event is conducted in Vietnamese only.

Since its premiere in 2020, the Have A Sip podcast has delivered nearly 200 episodes. The show has hosted a diverse range of guests from book authors, singers, artists, scholars, many of whom are also book writers themselves.

Each episode of Have A Sip lasts an hour, providing deeper insights into the lives and stories of the guests. But for those who cherish books and yearn for more interaction with authors and other book enthusiasts, an hour often isn't enough. That's the driving force behind the creation of the Have A Sip Book Club.

What Is The Have A Sip Book Club?

The Have A Sip Book Club is a Vietcetera initiative aimed at cultivating a community for book enthusiasts. The club features a variety of enriching activities such as meet-and-greets with authors, book swaps, and open discussions, all designed to provide a space for readers to connect and network over their shared love of literature.

The club debuted on September 7, with its first session featuring Nguyen Thi Xuan Phuong—the esteemed 95-year-old director, author, and founder of Lotus Gallery. During this event, which lasted over two hours, attendees had the opportunity to engage with Mrs. Xuan Phuong, explore her latest memoir Khắc đi… khắc đến, released in August, and mingle with numerous other readers.

Who's Featured At The 2nd Have A Sip Book Club Gathering?

Following the successful launch, the Have A Sip Book Club is thrilled to announce the opening of membership registrations, aimed at fostering richer and more engaging experiences for the reading community.

In this comeback, Have A Sip Book Club will welcome the renowed author Dang Hoang Giang as he discusses his latest work, Vẻ đẹp của cảnh sắc tầm thường (The Beauty of the Ordinary Landscape).

Building on the success of his works such as Thiện, Ác và Smartphone (The Good, The Evil, and Smartphone) and Tìm mình trong thế giới hậu tuổi thơ (Finding Oneself in a Post-Childhood World), Dang Hoang Giang’s new book delves into our severed connections with nature, the subtleties of everyday life, and our innermost feelings.

Addressing how the concept of "nature" has been trivialized by mass tourism and popularized scenic images online, this conversation with Dang Hoang Giang promises to unveil new insights, encouraging us to engage with life in a more profound and personal manner.
