Looking For Fashion Inspo? Follow These 5 Vietnamese Fashion Influencers To Up Your Game
Fashion, to some people, is about comfort over style. For others, it's about what’s in and trendy. But we can all agree that fashion is about feeling good and confident about oneself - no matter what you're wearing or how others perceive your style.
Now that we're already back to face-to-face work and school, we no longer have to wear half-styled outfits (formal from the waist up for online meetings and casual bottoms for comfort). We now pay more attention to the clothes that make us feel empowered and ready to take on the world.
In celebration of Vietnamese Women’s Day, here are five outstanding female influencers slaying in every outfit they wear. If you want to up your fashion game, follow these women who not only use fashion to assert themselves but also showcase real Vietnamese beauty in different ways.
Thao Nhi Le
You may know Thao Nhi Le as an influencer, an entrepreneur, or even Miss Universe Vietnam 2022’s 1st runner-up. But even before she got all these titles, she was a fashion lover first and foremost. While studying at the university, she worked in clothing stores to make money and dreamt of creating her own brand.
In 2018, she returned to Vietnam from Germany to realize her ambition, launching Daphale. Before joining Miss Universe Vietnam 2022, she was voted twice by TC Candler as one of the 100 most beautiful faces. Last month, Thao Nhi Le participated in Paris Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week for the first time.
Co Em Trendy
Nguyen Dang Khanh Linh, also known as Co Em Trendy, is a rising fashion influencer. She began her fashion career as a lookbook model and competed in The Face Vietnam 2017. However, she failed to reach the final rounds.
Two years after the competition, Khanh Linh reinvented herself and debuted with a new name, “Co Em Trendy,” with an edgy, high-fashion look. With a big heart for fashion, she doesn’t shy away from any outfit, makeup, or hairstyle.
At the Paris and Milan Fashion Week this year, she cut her hair short and even dyed her eyebrows. Everyone’s favorites from Khanh Linh this Fashion Week were her Britney Spears-inspired, recycled denim outfit and the colorful crochet design from a Vietnamese brand.
Chau Bui
Like many fashionistas in Vietnam, Chau Bui started as a lookbook model. Having more than 3 million followers on Instagram, she is currently the biggest fashion influencer in Vietnam. While most fashionistas in Vietnam only joined a few shows at one or two fashion weeks, Chau impressed people by joining Paris, Milan, and New York Fashion Week this year.
In 2021, Chau Bui was listed in 30 Under 30 in Forbes Asia in the Arts Category for her significant contribution to fashion. At just 25, the talented influencer believes she still has a long journey ahead of her. The Vietnamese fashion industry’s future looks promising with Chau Bui in it.
