The newly opened five-story showroom in Saigon’s District 2 features a collection of upholstered furniture that bears Scandinavian craftsmanship and quality. All designs have been manufactured at Wendelbo’s production facilities in Vietnam, run by Christian da Silva Wendelbo, the third generation of the Wendelbo family.
The history of the family business dates back to 1955 when Wendelbo’s founder Tage Petersen opened a small furniture workshop on a street corner in Aarhus, Denmark. In the spirit of continuity, after the production facility moved to Vietnam, the company’s headquarters remained in Aarhus, keeping Wendelbo’s roots firmly planted in Denmark.
Over the next six decades, the family business was nurtured and grown by Tage Petersen’s descendants. Each consecutive generation brought in a fresh perspective, gradually turning a small furniture workshop into an international success story.
Wendelbo has nurtured a Scandinavian craftsmanship tradition across three generations and given life to innovative and classic designs set in a modern and contemporary context.
