Save the date. On 14 November, the organizers of Saigon Gin Festival 2020 are taking over the ballroom of the Caravelle Hotel for a 7-hour extravaganza featuring over 20 gins, including internationally acclaimed premium brands like The Botanist and Four Pillars alongside Vietnam’s Brewstillery and Lady Trieu.
Last year’s event saw 28 mixologists face off for the title of the best bartender, with over 700 guests in attendance. This year’s event promises to be even bigger: gin sampling sessions and seminars, live entertainment, free-flow gin-based cocktails and 5-star dining courtesy of the Caravelle chefs.
With ticket selling like hot cakes, the nation has once again declared its newfound love for the flavorful, juniper berry and botanicals-infused spirit. Thanks to greater access to higher quality ingredients, Vietnam’s beverage scene continues to grow in leaps and bounds. Everyone who is interested in meeting the industry’s movers and shakers and learning more about the beverage should make a beeline for the Caravelle next Saturday.
