Last week, Six Senses Ninh Van Bay concluded a series of culinary dinners showcasing a mix of local and international talent.

The lineup featured a collaborative dinner between all four chefs as well as individual dinners. Chef Som from SOM’S Table in Thailand brings her to take on Thai cuisine. The dinner was more of a mix of Indian flavors as well, which was a pleasant surprise. Chef Duc from Nous Saigon followed, offering a taste of modern Vietnamese dishes. Next, Chef Joonhyuk from Labri Hanoi shared his culinary creations, blending traditional and contemporary French and Korean flavors using Vietnamese ingredients. And finally, Six Senses Ninh Van Bay’s very own Chef Timothy showcased his expertise, emphasizing the resort’s farm-to-table philosophy.

The resort, renowned for its commitment to sustainability and wellness, has once again proven why it stands out in Vietnam’s luxury hospitality scene.

A personal highlight of my recent visit was witnessing the drive and dedication of Ian Mahajan, the Food and Beverage Director. Ian’s efforts to bridge the property’s values with the broader Food & Beverage community in Vietnam are worth highlighting in the hotel community. He shared, “Our goal is to create a dining experience that not only delights the senses but also fosters a deeper connection between our guests, the local community, and the environment. It’s also about connecting our property with the wider Vietnamese hospitality community and some global guests as well.”

Looking ahead, Six Senses Ninh Van Bay is gearing up for a series of events later this year, including the much-anticipated celebration of the property’s 20th anniversary. These events promise to further cement the resort’s reputation as a beacon of culinary excellence and innovation.

On a personal note, my experience with the property’s wellness program was nothing short of transformative. The highlight, without a doubt, was the gym, which offers a workout experience complemented by a priceless view. It’s a reminder that wellness is not just about physical health but also about connecting with the environment around us. The property also has a rotating showcase of guests in the space. Specifically, during my visit, an expert from Bhutan, Sherab, led a series of activities, including a Bhutanese-style meditation.

As Six Senses Ninh Van Bay continues to evolve, it remains a place where every visit offers a new discovery, and every meal is a feast for the senses. It’s a testament to the power of food to bring people together and celebrate the beauty of our world. It’s hard to believe it’s been around for 20 years, but the innovation continues.
