The heart of Ho Chi Minh City is buzzing with vibrant colors and festive cheer as Nguyen Hue Street comes alive with the spectacular Tet flower display.
Families, friends, and onlookers come to see the city’s largest Tet flower street, stretching around 700 meters. The crowd walks shoulder to shoulder, capturing moments in traditional costumes and taking photos. Laughter, excitement, and the spirit of Tet fill the air as everyone enjoys the celebration.

The star attractions of this year’s display are the colossal dragon mascots that capture the spirit of the Lunar New Year. Towering at 120 meters each, these dragons, facing the iconic HCMC People’s Committee building, intertwine along the street, creating mesmerizing patterns 10 meters above the excited crowd.
As the dragons weave through the lively street, their mouths hold illuminated “pearls,” adding a magical touch to the atmosphere. With speakers in their necks and wheels to bend and roar, these dragons come to life, welcoming visitors with a spectacle that pays homage to the dragon statues from Vietnam’s royal families Ly, Tran, and Nguyen.
At the street’s end, facing the Saigon River, a dragon takes flight over a space exceeding 1,000 square meters. Crafted from eco-friendly materials, including bamboo, this dragon showcases the fusion of tradition and sustainability.
The entire street is adorned with a breathtaking array of flower decorations featuring 99 different flora species, predominantly in red, orange, and yellow hues. Among them, a gold-coated bodhi tree stands tall, a symbol of prosperity and good fortune.
This year’s Tet flower street is open for visitors from 7 p.m. on Feb. 7 to 9 p.m. on Feb. 14, providing a week-long opportunity to immerse in the festive ambiance. As the Lunar New Year approaches on Saturday, Feb. 10, Nguyen Hue Street becomes a vibrant mosaic of tradition and modernity, inviting all to join in the joyous celebration.
