Năm 2016, ông đã đưa ra bài thuyết trình trước Quốc hội Việt Nam về tác động của Hiệp định Đối tác Xuyên Thái Bình Dương bằng tiếng Việt. Và cho đến thời điểm hiện tại, ông vẫn là người nước ngoài duy nhất làm được điều này.

Oliver Massmann is not only a leading expert but has also provided consultancy to the Vietnamese Government during the WTO accession process in 2007. In 2016, he delivered a presentation before the Vietnamese National Assembly on the impact of the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement in Vietnamese, making him the only foreigner to achieve this to date.
