The Mekong Delta contributes 50% of Vietnam’s rice production, 65% of aquaculture and 70% of fruit production and is at great risk from climate change. How do we manage the food needs of Vietnam and beyond? Should the focus of investors be on strengthening supply chains, efficient production systems, or reducing emissions and waste? What areas should the private sector focus on to ensure a sustainable agricultural sector? In this workshop, investors and companies will present their experience and insight in advancing solutions to improve smallholder farmers’ productivity and livelihoods, build innovation into production systems, and invest in research and development for climate-resilient crops.
