Vietnam has made ambitious commitments to reach carbon neutrality by 2050 and phase out coal-fueled power generation by 2040. The cost of Vietnam’s decarbonizing pathway between now and 2040 has been estimated to be as much as US$368 billion.

Thanks to the support of the European Commission and International Partners Group, the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP) for Vietnam will mobilize as much as $15.5B in public and private sector finance.
